Frederiksberg Centret
Frederiksberg Centret is located right in the heart of Frederiksberg, next the Metro station, Copenhagen Business School and Frederiksberg Gymnasium. The area includes a campus of around 25,000 students. It is the most densely populated area in Denmark.
The centre is an incredibly strong shopping destination and was thoroughly modernised and expanded in 2015. The “new” Frederiksberg Centret has subsequently received national and international accolades, including the “Nordic Region’s Best Shopping Centre” in 2016 and “Denmark’s Best Shopping Centre” two years in a row. Frederiksberg Centret has also won a number of international awards for the best refurbishment of an existing centre.
The centre has a strong mix of shops with brands that are usually only found on the high street and is also known for its excellent customer service.

Award-winning Frederiksberg Centret
In 2017, Frederiksberg Centret won a prestigious VIVA Best-of-the-Best-Award, making it one of the world’s best shopping centres. It has also been nominated best shopping centre in Denmark and the Nordic region and honoured for its many sustainable initiatives.
Frederiksberg Centret has won by far the most awards among shopping centres in Denmark. It has won no less than 10 awards, and is the only shopping centre in Scandinavia to have won a VIVA Award.
New technology to reduce environmental impact
By incorporating new technology in property management, Frederiksberg Centret can reduce its environmental impact. With the aim of achieving potential optimisations and savings, a thorough energy renovation was carried out at the centre, with Siemens as the turnkey contractor.
Among other things, the energy overhaul succeeded in cutting 25% off the centre’s total energy consumption while creating a better indoor climate for the benefit of the eight million customers who visit the centre each year.
